Spain are through to the final of the European Championship

Spain bounce back in the European Championship after previous disappointments. after storming back at france in the first half, they secured a chance at the final with a win in regular time.

The players were received on the by a roaring crowd of red and blue at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Mbappe was the provider early in the first half after a good run into the box and a cross that found Kolo Muani who rose highest to nod it passed the Spanish goalkeeper.

For more than 10 consecutive minutes, Spain turned on the heat on France and started knocking on the door relentlessly.

Their efforts paid off when Lemine Yamal scored a beauty to bring Spain back to level terms. A wonderful drop of the shoulder opened up space for him to deliver the screamer.

Less than five minutes later, France's defence crumbled to Spain's silky movements after Dano Olmo's shot bounced off Jules Kounde into his own net.

Dani Olmo is now a contender for the golden boot as he now has two goals and three assists making a total 5 goal contribution.

In the second half France couldn't capitalize on their chances, Mbappe shooting wide on different occasions. Giroud who is set to retire now was brought on but even the big number 9 could not save his country from elimination.

France leave the tournament with an embarassing record of only one goal scored during open play. That goal is the one owned by Kolo Muani in this match.

Spain now prepare to meet either England or the Netherlands who are set to meet in another thrilling encounter on Thursday.
