Former Uganda Cranes head coach Sebastien Desabre has revealed he holds no regrets nor grudges for the two years he spent in the country, before unprecedentedly throwing in the towel in 2019.
Having succeeded Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic, who is ironically the Cranes coach currently, Desabre went on to establish an exciting project.
His team not only played good football but also qualified and made the round of 16 of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
"I liked my time in Uganda," declared Desabre in the post-match press conference, after his side Democratic Republic of Congo, beat Uganda 1-0 in an international friendly in Douala, Cameroon on Wednesday.

The match came as preparation for their respective upcoming AFCON qualifiers. The Cranes take on Algeria on Sunday while DRC tussle it out with Gabon.
"We built a team with a target of qualifying to the AFCON and I followed in that moment," the 47 year-old added.
"It was the work before me at that moment and I followed the project of President (FUFA) Magogo (Moses)," Desabre noted.
Uganda has since his departure, failed to qualify for the AFCON tournaments that followed and are on the verge of missing out the 2023 Ivory Coast edition as well.
The Cranes lie third in Group F with four points and have to fend off opposition from both runners-up Tanzania (four points) and bottom side Niger (three) to take the final qualification spot.
Algeria, meanwhile, have already made the finals having amassed a maximum 12 points in the four matches played thus far.
