Ugandan football legend David Obua is poised to make a return to the local football scene, this time as the head coach of StarTimes Uganda Premier League giants, URA FC.
This development comes after the URA head coach role fell vacant following the untimely passing of coach Sam Timbe.
Obua was selected from a list of candidates who have been linked to the URA job, including former Vipers coach Alex Isabirye, Sam Ssimbwa, and Abdullah Mubiru.
The two parties have been involved in negotiations over terms of his contract, coming to an agreement this week.
He is expected to sign a two year contract with the Tax Collectors, and will be granted permission to appoint at least one assistant on his coaching staff.
