Arsenal made light work of a terrible Crystal Palace side, earning a resounding 5-1 victory at Selhurst Park.
Gabriel Jesus continued from where he left off in mid-week, adding a brace as Arsenal demolished Crystal Palace 5-1 on their own turf.
How it happened
Jesus continued from where he left off after Wednesday night’s hat-trick against the same opposition with two more well-taken goals in the opening 20 minutes.
Ismaila Sarr equalised for Palace after Jesus scored his first but the Brazilian's second set the motion for the rest of the game.
Kai Havertz then scored from close range, when Jesus’s shot fell to him via the post to make it 3-1 and effectively take the game beyond Oliver Glasner's men.
Gabriel Martinelli made it 4-1 after the break, when he turned in Declan Rice’s low shot, and Rice himself rounded off the night with a lovely finish into the corner from the edge of the box.
The result makes it ten games without defeat for Mikel Arteta's side heading last match of the year next Friday at home against Ipswich.
