Cristiano Ronaldo is back like he never left
Al Nassr are certainly getting their money’s worth as Cristiano Ronaldo rolls back the years to deliver a classic performance in the team’s Saudi Professional League match against Al Wehda.
Ronaldo back to his best
Ronaldo delivered an incredible four goals after only an hour as Al Nassr secured their place at the top of the table against fourth-from-bottom Al Wehda.
Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al Nassr after 21 minutes with a brilliant low effort from the left side of the 18-yard-box that had the Al Wehda goalkeeper scrambling, and repeated the feat just before half-time, this time from the opposite flank of the box.
Four for Ronaldo
He completed his hat-trick less than 10 minutes after the restart with a trademark penalty that gave the goalkeeper no chance.
Not satisfied with that, Ronaldo got his fourth after 61 minutes, following up on his attempt, that the goalkeeper saved, to stroke the ball into an empty net.
Ronaldo's four goals on the night moves him to five league goals for the season, already more than he managed for Manchester United in the 2022/23 season before his contract was terminated.
The goals also take him into the top 10 in the scorers' chart for the Saudi Pro League, despite this being only his third league match with new club Al Nassr
It is also his 51st career hat-trick
