Former Gor Mahia and Kakamega Homeboyz midfielder Francis Ochola among 27 coaches who graduated after the one-month coaching course
A total of 27 coaches on Wednesday attained the Confederation of African Football (CAFC) "C" License after completion of the month-long coaching course organized by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) officials in Kakamega.
The course kicked off on April 18 at Bukhungu Stadium and was supervised by CAF Coaching instructor George Ondula and former Kenya international Fred Serenge.

The program resembles the newly introduced education system- Competency-based Curriculum which enables children to identify their talents at an early age.
Former Kakamega Homeboyz, Western Stima, Kakamega Homeboyz, and Muhoroni player Francis Ochola were among the graduates.
Other notable graduates include former Sony Sugar goalkeeper John Waw and former FC Talanta defender Adams "Adeh" Ewoton.

The youngster has expressed his delight at being deployed in a different position after finally tasting top-flight action following a long-term injury.
Speaking after the graduation ceremony, Ochola expressed his dedication to nurturing and developing players, particularly at the grassroots level, aiming to propel them to global heights.
"My main objective as a coach is to contribute to the growth and development of young talents, helping them progress from grassroots football to the highest levels of competition. I want to provide them with the same opportunities that shaped my own career," said Ochola.
The 37-year-old coach retired from football in 2019 and engaged in coaching before acquiring his CAF D coaching license in 2022.

Former international Fred Serenge is one of the facilitators.
At the end of the course, FKF stated that by equipping local coaches with the necessary tools, expertise, and strategies, Kenyan football could foster a supportive environment for aspiring players and ensure a sustainable pipeline of talent for the future.
CAF C is the fourth-ranked coaching course in African football, after CAF B, CAF A, and CAF Pro in that order.
