Harambee Stars have won just three of their last ten fixtures.
A youthful football club chairman has dismissed the national team Harambee Stars as a waste of time in the wake of their humiliating 1-0 home loss to Bright Stars of South Sudan.
Migori Youth FC chairman Abdi Aziz Osman tore into Kenya’s dismal performance on the international stage and instead urged the federation to divert resources ‘wasted’ on Harambee Stars to youth development programs.
“What does this team do to Kenyans other than raising expectations then causing heartbreaks? Harambee Stars is a total waste of time I dare say. Imagine the agony this team has caused over the years,” scoffed the agitated Aziz Osman

Harambee Stars have won just three of their last ten fixtures. Their latest was a shock 2-1 over Qatar in Doha last week. The other two teams the Kenyan national men’s team have beaten are Pakistan and Rwanda.

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) are tuning the national team for a shot at 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification but preliminary observations do not paint a great picture. Aziz Osman does not think the attempt at 2026 World Cup is viable.
