Marc Guiu has played in all pre-season games for Chelsea.

Marc Guiu, Chelsea’s recent summer signing from Barcelona, has sparked speculation about a possible loan move just weeks after joining the Blues.

The 18-year-old forward, who completed a £5 million transfer to Stamford Bridge at the start of July, has made headlines with his candid comments about his future.

Guiu joined Chelsea on a five-year deal and has already appeared in all four of the club’s pre-season games in the United States.

Despite his promising performances, the young Spaniard has hinted that he might seek a loan move to gain more first-team experience.

"I still don’t know if I will go on loan," Guiu told the Daily Mail. "I hope to stay, I’m working for it. The manager, Enzo Maresca, has told me there is an amazing sporting project here and that he has a lot of faith in me." Guiu expressed his readiness to compete in the Premier League but acknowledged that a loan move might be beneficial for his development.

Chelsea’s pre-season has been challenging, with the team securing only one win. Maresca, who is navigating his first season with the club, has been experimenting with different line-ups and tactics.

Guiu’s potential departure on loan could allow him to gain valuable playing time and return to Chelsea as a more experienced player.

Whether he stays and fights for his place or goes out on loan, his early career at Chelsea will be closely watched by Chelsea fans.
