Lampard has lost all of his six games in charge of the club since returning in April.

A section of the Chelsea squad is reportedly concerned by Frank Lampard’s tactical acumen and believe it is the reason they have produced dismal results since he returned as an interim manager.

According to multiple sources, a group of Chelsea players contacted owner Todd Boehly the morning after the 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday.

The players expressed their concerns regarding Frank Lampard’s tactics, citing that they found them very confusing, which has prompted people to believe that the unthinkable could happen if no improvement is made.

Lampard returned to the club in April following the decision to sack Graham Potter but has yet to win a single game since taking charge of the club.

He has lost all his six games in charge including a 2-1 loss to Wolves, a 4-0 aggregate defeat to Real Madrid, a 2-1 loss to Brighton, a 2-0 loss to Brentford, and that drubbing to Arsenal that Gary Neville described as 'disgusting'.

Lampard has made questionable tactical decisions recently, such as playing N’Golo Kante in an advanced number 10 position. There have also been concerns about his side’s 'muddled' pressing.

The former Blues midfielder has revealed his plans after leaving Chelsea when his short-second stint back at the club as manager comes to an end.

Speaking ahead of the club’s 'relegation six-pointer' against a resurgent Bournemouth, the former England international revealed that he had 'no regrets' about taking the job.

"I'm happy here but I don't want to be an interim manager in my next job,” he said. “I haven't got regrets,” he added.

"When I came back here I certainly took it on with a lot of heart and understanding that it was short term. But I don’t want to be an interim manager again."

Chelsea will face Bournemouth on Saturday at 5:00 PM EAT hoping a win will help them reach the 40 point mark.
