Cheche, who has played with Muguna for both Police and Harambee Stars, has revealed why he thinks the former Gor Mahia captain is stylistically similar to Toni Kroos.
Kenya Police FC defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng has revealed why his teammate for both club and country, Kenneth Muguna is stylistically similar to Real Madrid’s Toni Kroos and former Inter Milan and Kenyan midfielder McDonald Mariga.
Both players were taking part in an 'Asking Teammates' challenge on Sports Eye Sports when they queried each other what qualities they bring to Kenya Police.
“The quality I think I bring to Kenya Police is leadership because I have been there and performed at the highest level so I know what it entails and what is needed in today’s game,” Muguna said when asked about what he brought to the team.

STARS ABROAD Kenyan prospect Bruce Kamau holds his own as Perth Glory soar to victory against Melbourne
The 28-year-old inspired Perth Glory to victory against expensively-assembled Melbourne.
Cheche, however, took it a notch higher, showering him with praise and comparing him to some of football’s finest players.
“I think apart from leadership, I think the quality you bring is holisticness to the team, players who defend and attack well, the likes of (Luca) Modric,” Cheche said.
Cheche believes Muguna’s ability to dictate games is similar to Tony Kross’ style. He also namechecked McDonald Mariga.

FKFPL Nairobi City Stars complete signing of marauding left back as they seek to keep tabs with top spot
The Simba wa Nairobi have added Wasega to the squad, bringing an end to a long standing depth problem at left back.
“I think you impress me with your passing. I think I would compare you to Toni Kroos (as well) On a good day if you are told everything is about 100 percent passing, I think you are one of the few players in Kenya who can pass it well.
“I keep telling you that I see Mariga (MacDonald) in you because Mariga could pass a ball. Your passing, scoring, and ability to stay calm inside the box are things you need in a number 10.”
“Since this is my third team in the Kenyan Premier League, I think I achieved a lot with the last two teams, this season is a good season we have had.”

“But I think I have done well for myself. You know the expectations at Police. To start at the club is not an easy task so I think my season has been okay.
