Korir comes in as an interim after former CEO Barrry Otieno formally resigned, sighting work pressure.
Football Kenya Federation (FKF) interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patrick Korir has officially began his tenure on Wednesday, October.
The interim CEO arrived at FKF headquarters early this morning, welcomed by FKF staff and president Nick Mwendwa.
"On day one really my assignment today was just orientation. To get used to this seat, meet the staff and the departmental heads and get to understand what they are doing," said Korir via FKF's Instagram page.
"I can cheap in with ideas here and there if need be. Othersise it is going to be a seamless operation as possible."

The former CEO of Nairobi City Stars expressed optimism in overseeing the federation over a busy period calendar of events.
"How things have been done will continue for now. If there is going to be any chages it is going to be very gradual. There will be timelines for what we need to achieve and that can only be elaborate once I get to meet everyone and understand what everyobody's role is and that begins today," expressed Korir.
The interim CEO's predecessor, Barry Otieno formally resigned on Tuesday, October 8 sighting work pressure as the reason.

Barry Otieno has finally confirmed his decision to step down as FKF CEO after five years amid wisespread reports that he is keen on the presidential seat.
Korir takes over a busy period where he will have to oversee the roadmap for FKF's December 7 elections that has so far been marred by controversies.
Additionally he will take charge of footballing events, including including the Rising Stars' U20 AFCON-CECAFA qualifiers, Junior Starlets participation in the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, and Harambee Stars’ 2025 AFCON Qualifiers.
