The tournament’s draw, held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), saw prominent African football figures, including Uganda’s Hassan Wasswa, Tanzania’s Mrisho Ngasa, and Kenya’s McDonald Mariga, officiate the process.
Group A presents a stern test for the Harambee Stars, with Morocco being the most decorated team in the group, while Angola and DR Congo have consistently performed well in continental tournaments. Zambia, another strong contender, adds to the group’s competitive edge.
In addition to Group A, Group B features co-hosts Tanzania alongside Madagascar, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso.
