The Bright Stars held their second training session at Juba International Stadium on Wednesday, preparing for the showdown scheduled for Sunday, October 27.

“We’re preparing as best as we can. Each player is committed to honing their abilities and working together as a cohesive unit to face the challenge posed by the Kenyan team,” read a statement from the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA).
While South Sudan’s preparations have been on full display, Kenya, on the other hand, has kept its cards close to its chest. With the match just days away, Harambee Stars are yet to release their squad or any details of their preparations for the upcoming clash.
Kenya, as one of the co-hosts for the CHAN 2024 finals, has already secured a spot in the tournament, yet their decision to withhold information about their squad for the qualifier against South Sudan adds an element of mystery to the contest.
With Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania guaranteed places in the competition as co-hosts, only one additional spot from the CECAFA region remains, making this qualifier all the more important for South Sudan.
