For the first time in three matches Ademola Lookman was unable to find the back of the net
Cagliari became only the second side in the last five games to stop Nigerian superstar Ademola Lookman from finding the back of the net despite going down 1-0 to Atalanta in Serie A.
Lookman’s streak ends in Atalanta win
In recent matches, Lookman has scored against Real Madrid, AC Milan, and Parma, but was unable to add to his eight Serie A goals this season in a substitute appearance against Cagliari.

The Nigerian, who started the game againsf Cagliari on the bench, replaced Mateo Retegui at half time, but could not breach the hosts defence in his 45-minute cameo.
Luckily for Atalanta, they did not need to depend on Lookman for the decider, as fellow substitute Nicolo Zaniolo found the winner for La Dea to keep them on top of the Serie A table.
Zaniolo was brought on in the 64th minute and struck two minutes later to give Atalanta a deserved 1-0 win.
