Busoga Province coach Charles Ayiekoh has promised that his team will beat Karamoja convincingly as they seek an advantage in the first-round playoffs of the FUFA Drum.

Busoga was among the eight teams that were not seeded and will have to navigate through Karamoja for a chance to play in the group stages.

The team’s camp is now full board after the arrivals of defender Kenneth Ssemakula and striker Boban Zirintusa on Saturday ahead of the Sunday fixture.

“We assure our fans that we shall win the first leg in Kamuli so that we head for the second leg when everything is almost done,” Ayiekoh said ahead of the game.

“I’m happy that the players are fully fit because it is tough to get them ready after the season. What we need now is the twelfth man to add to his voice so that we can wrap it up in the first leg,” he added.

In the other fixture scheduled for Sunday, Rwenzori will host Kigezi at Nyakasanga playground in Kasese.

Should Busoga go on to win, they will slot into Group C which has West Nile and Bugisu.
