Bruno Bunyaga is hoping to become the first player to ever score in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League and FUFA Big League in the same season.

The URA FC youngster is a beneficiary of the controversial double-licensing that was introduced by FUFA this season.

Under the system, Bunyaga is able to feature for two teams in the two respective leagues at the same time.

The youngster has featured for Kiyinda Boys in the betPawa Big League, where he is leading the scorer’s chart with three goals.

“I pray and hope to get playing time at URA FC so that I can score and make history as the first player to score in two different leagues in the same season,” Bunyaga told URA FC.

“It will be a dream come true because It’s amongst my short-term goals in the first round. I am grateful for this new rule by FUFA as It’s helping me get more playing time, which I haven’t been getting at URA FC,” he added.

The youngster scored only one goal for the Tax Collectors last season but is yet to feature in a match in the current campaign.
