BUL Football Club has ended speculations over their new coach by unveiling Abbey Bogere Kikomeko on Tuesday at their headquarters in Masese, Jinja City.
The 2021/22 Stanbic Uganda Cup winners terminated their contract with Alex Isabirye, who crossed over to Vipers Sports Club.
The club had initially handed Simeone Masaba the interim role, but the coach failed to impress, winning only one Uganda Cup but no single victory in the league in 2023.
“We’ve signed him as our senior team coach for the next three years,” the club chairman Ronald Barente told the media.
“We believe that he is the right man to take us forward as we look to fulfil our short and long-term objectives. We feel that his experience is what we need to push as going forward,” Barente added.
The coach will work with the previous technical team.
Kikomeko signed after guiding Mbale Heroes to the FUFA Big League.
He previously coached Kirinya Jinja SSS and later Busoga United before leaving at the end of the 2021 season.
