The nominees have been unveiled for April's EA Sports Player of the Month award, with some of the Premier League's biggest names making the shortlist.

Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, Jean-Philippe Mateta and Everton’s Jordan Pickford are among the high-profile candidates nominated for the award.

They are joined by two of the league’s brightest young talents in Josko Gvardiol of Manchester City and Chelsea’s Cole Palmer.

  • Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

The Portuguese midfielder was back to his influential best in April, scoring or assisting seven goals as United pushed for a top four finish.

Fernandes scored six goals and assisted one and only failed to score or assist in just one of five matches played.

  • Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City)

The Croatian centre-back has clearly found his feet at City after a shaky start, with his leadership and composure at both ends proving invaluable.

Gvardiol scored two goals, assisted one and kept two clean sheet as the defending champions made it five wins out of five matches.

  • Kai Havertz (Arsenal)

The German forward is another player who has finally seemed to find his best form, despite failing to find the back of the net in two matches.

Havertz scored four goals and assisted three more in six matches for Premier League leaders Arsenal.

  • Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace)

The French striker took his chance superbly and has become the new hero at Crystal Palace.

Mateta netted five goals including against Manchester City, before adding back-to-back braces.

  • Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

With opportunities limited at Man City, the 20-year-old has become the most player London club Chelsea.

Palmer scored seven goals and provided one assist to lead the league on goal contributions in April.

  • Jordan Pickford (Everton)

The England no.1 produced a string of outstanding displays to preserve crucial points for Everton, making a remarkable 23 saves over the month en route to four clean sheets.

The winner will be announced in the coming days, with fans able to vote for their choice on EA Sports' Premier League channels. A tight vote is expected!
