Tusker FC goalkeeper Brian Bwire has opened up about his most challenging experience with the Kenyan national team, Harambee Stars.
Despite earning his first call-up in 2018 and subsequently debuting in a World Cup qualifier against Mali in October 2021, Bwire revealed that his journey had not always been smooth sailing.
"I had some issues with critics, but my aim is to regain a starting role with the national team. I want to get back on track and rectify the situation," Bwire admitted candidly.

Bwire experienced a difficult moment that haunted him, both on and off the field,a harmless ball slipped from his hands, resulting in Uganda scoring an equalizer in a 1-1 draw.
The mistake attracted a barrage of online abuse and criticism, exacerbating the mental distress Bwire was already facing.

"I am grateful for my family's encouragement and everyone who assisted me in finding my footing again," he acknowledged.
The young goalkeeper now aims to regain his starting position within the national team, utilizing the lessons learned from his lowest moment.
"What happened is a forgotten past and I am focusing on the future," he concluded.
