Vini Jr. was the star of the show in Brazil’s 4-1 success over Daniel Oscar Garnero's men, notching a brace for Dorival’s men against Group D's winless opponents.
Lucas Paqueta and Savinho scored the Selecao's other goals on a dominant night in Las Vegas, nearly securing their place in the quarter-finals.
However, the wide attacker was displeased after the match, pointing to the difficulties players face at Copa America due to second-rate treatment from CONMEBOL.
“The Copa America is always tricky due to the pitches, the referees and the way CONMEBOL treats us. It’s always really difficult,” Vinicius Jr said in an on-field interview after the 4-1 win.
“We have to keep working because we can only talk about it when we win. Whenever we speak up, CONMEBOL tells us we’re talking too much. That’s the truth.”
What comes next?
Brazil are second in Group D after two games but Dorival Junior’s men will end atop their section if they defeat Colombia in their final group-stage match.
