Odion Ighalo tried to intervene during Osimhen’s verbal attack aimed at Finidi George.

Victor Osimhen made the headlines earlier today following an explosive rant against Super Eagles legend and former coach, Finidi George.

The 25-year-old Napoli star missed Nigeria’s two World Cup qualifying fixtures against South Africa and Benin Republic respectfully.

Osimhen, who has been taking time to recover during the summer break amid speculation over his future in Italy.

Pulse Sports earlier reported that the Super Eagles striker hopped on his Instagram live to call out ex-head coach of the national team, Finidi George.

Osimhen also stated that he has lost his respect for the former Eyimba manager following an unconfirmed report that claimed Finidi questioned Osimhen’s commitment to the Super Eagles.

However, while Osimhen verbally attacked the force national team coach, there were calls from his friends, fans, and colleagues in attempt to dissuade the Napoli star who looked visibly pissed.

One of such comments came from former Super Eagles and Man United striker, Odion Ighalo.

Ighalo expressed his disapproval of Osimhen’s actions and attempted to weather the storm, leaving a comment on his live chat that read: “Boy calm down and end the live,” after the Serie A star insisted that he is a full grown man that fears no one.

According to reports, it had to take the intervention of current Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, to stop Osimhen from pressing on with the live broadcast on Instagram.
