They claimed one of the two automatic promotion positions with three matches to spare.

After clinching the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) promotion ticket, Murang'a Seal have celebrated the achievement by looking back at where they came from.

Together with their National Super League (NSL) rivals, Shabana, Seal earned promotion on Sunday following their 1-0 victory over Coastal Heroes at Mbaraki Sports Club.

The 1-0 win gave them passage to the top flight, and they will be featuring in the competition for the first time ever.

Their attention now turns to the NSL title race, where they must edge out Shabana and crown their season in memorable fashion.

Meanwhile, the promotion to the FKF Premier League is expected to boost their morale in the title race, although Shabana are also favourites, given how they have performed so far.

Under head coach Vincent Nyaberi, the club has turned into a more competitive outfit, but their solidity will be seriously tested when they brush shoulders with their top-tier rivals in the 2023–2024 season.

Having played for Thika United, Nyaberi understands the terrain of the Premier League, and such an experience will come in handy.

The tactician has also handled Shabana before, and that means he has the necessary experience to help the Seal compete at a higher level.

Nyaberi has proven his ability to deliver even after being relegated to the assistant coach position when Ezekiel Akwana was appointed. When the former Nakuru All-Stars coach was fired, Nyaberi was elevated again, eventually leading the club to the top flight.
