The Injury: What Happened to Victor Boniface?
While in training camp in Dubai with the Super Eagles, Boniface suffered a muscle tendon injury in the right adductor area and was forced to pull out of the tournament and travel back to Germany for surgery.
The Ondo-born striker underwent a successful operation and has since been in recovery and rehab. Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso provided an update on his status a few days ago, revealing that the Nigerian was close to returning. And now, true to the Spaniard's words, Boniface is training again.
