Bidco United coach Anthony Akhulia has hit out at referee Isreal Mpaima over what he claims to be favouritism towards AFC Leopards during their Premier League clash on Saturday.
Bidco United coach Anthony Akhulia has slammed referee Israel Mpaima over what he claims to be biased officiating during their FKF Premier League match against AFC Leopards.
Leopards secured a 1-0 win over Bidco with new signing Sydney Lokale scoring the decisive goal 10 minutes from time on Saturday.
It was the first win for Leopards against Bidco in eight attempts but Akhulia took issue with the performance of the match official, whom he claims favoured Ingwe.

Sydney Lokale’s strike sinks Bidco United as AFC Leopards return to winning ways
New signing Sydney Lokale came off the bench to score the only goal as AFC Leopards ended Bidco United’s great run against them with a slim win in Thika.
“It was as if he [referee] had a predetermined mind,” a disappointed Akhulia told Azam TV after the match.
“Like AFC Leopards had to win. The fouls he gave were bogus, even a simple body charge he was booking our players,” added the tactician.
Bidco had been a thorn in the flesh for Leopards before Saturday’s match, having beaten them five times while forcing two draws in their previous seven meetings, and despite their proud record finally ending, Akhulia still feels it won’t be long before they start hurting Ingwe again.

Gor Mahia bow out of CAF Champions League after struggling against Al Ahly
Gor Mahia have ended their 2024/2025 CAF Champions League campaign after a heavy loss in the two-legged clash of the second preliminary round.
“Congratulations to AFC Leopards, they have done what they rarely do but there is still the second leg and we will still beat them 4-0 like we always do,” said Akhulia, before giving Leopards credit for outwitting his men.
“They did their homework well and knew which areas we are good as and closed us down.”
Bidco are still winless this season after back-to-back 1-1 draws against Shabana and Nairobi City Stars before the loss to Leopards while Tomas Trucha’s men have now won two while losing one of their three matches.
