The semi-final of the Copa Del Rey will feature El-Clasico following the draws that took place on Monday.
Barcelona will face Real Madrid in an exciting Copa Del Rey clash after both sides were paired against each other in the semi-final.
Barcelona beat Real Sociedad 1-0 in the quarter-final to get here while Real Madrid needed extra-time to beat city rivals Atletico 3-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Barcelona to renew rivalry with Real Madrid
Immediately after both teams found their way through the quarter-final, the prospect of an El-Clasico came up, which is now a reality.
Los Blancos will host the first leg at the Bernabeu on one of these dates, February 28, March 1 or March 2.
The second leg will take place one month later at Camp Nou, with the winners across the two legs progressing to the final, where they will meet Osasuna or Athletic Bilbao, who will play the other semi-final.
Osasuna beat Sevilla while Bilbao saw off the challenge of Valencia. However, main headline is Barcelona’s clash with Madrid.
El-Clasico to happen five times
The pair have already faced each other twice this season, with Real winning 3-1 in the league and Barcelona repeating the same result in the Spanish Super Cup.
With the new two games, both sides will play against each other five times this season as there is still the the league fixture later this season.
Barcelona have won the competition 31 times, more than any other club. Xavi Hernandez’s men will be looking to win the competition for the first time since the 2020/2021 campaign.
Meanwhile, Madrid have won it 19 times, although their last trophy came in the 2013/2014 season, beating Barcelona in the final.
