Baraza has urged Bandari fans to turn up in large numbers against fellow title challengers Nairobi City Stars as the club seeks to close the gap on Gor Mahia.
Bandari head coach Johna Baraza has made a rallying call to the club’s fans to turn up in large numbers and support the side ahead of their epic clash against Nairobi City Stars at the Mbaraki Grounds in Mombasa.
Both sides are currently in contention for the league title on 34 points, just nine behind league leaders Gor Mahia, and victory for either side would be a massive boost for either side as they each seek to make history.
Now, Baraza has acknowledged the difficulty of the Simba wa Nairobi clash, claiming that the side will need its 12th man given the gravity of the match.

FOOTBALL Former AFC Leopards coach settles on new Congo job after failed FKF Premier League attempts
Former AFC Leopards coach Luc Eymael has secured a coaching role after unsuccessful attempts to return to the FKF Premier League.
“We expect a difficult clash because they are one of those teams that have been doing well in the league this season,” Baraza told the club’s social media handles.
“They are a good side who have shown good form in the matches passed, so we expect a tough game, but like the Swahil say, ‘those who take care of their home are well taken care of’.
Emphasizing the importance of home advantage, Baraza urged fans to turn up in large numbers.

FKFPL Paul Were makes sensational return to Mathare United after 14-years
Were has rejoined Mathare United after 14 years, having come through their Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) system.
“ Like in all days and in the match against Murang’a Seal, the fans turned up despite the distance. We need to make our home advantage count and they should turn up in large numbers.
“Wherever they are, whether it be Nairobi, Malindi or Lunga Lunga, let them come and help us create an atmosphere that will intimidate the opposition and help us win.”
Baraza insists that the side have no room to rest on its laurels if it is to stand a chance of winning the trophy, especially having been bundled out of the FKF Cup by Bungoma Stars a fortnight ago.
“We still have a lot to do because we also aim to go for the title. I cannot say I’m satisfied yet because we will be welcoming complacency. Each team is working hard and we have to continue giving our all,” noted Baraza.
