After claiming their 15th Champions League title, Real Madrid have continued their winning streak, carting away the end-of-season UEFA awards
Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior has been named the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season for the 2023/24 campaign after leading Los Blancos to their 15th title in a spectacular season.
This comes days after the Brazilian star scored at Wembley as Real Madrid beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 to wrap up an unbeaten Champions League campaign.
Vinicius and Bellingham cart away UEFA awards
Vinicius and teammate Jude Bellingham received major honours from UEFA as the Real Madrid stars were named Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season respectively.
Both players have contributed immensely to Real Madrid’s latest Champions League triumph and registered a goal contribution each with Vinicius scoring the second goal of the match against Borussia Dortmund with an assist from Bellingham.
Vinicius and Bellingham vie for Ballon d’Or
Following Real Madrid’s triumph in the Champions League, both players are now among the favourites to win the coveted Ballon d’Or award for 2024.
Bellingham’s impressive debut season with Real Madrid has seen him register 23 goals and 13 assists in 42 matches, while Vinicius has had an equally impressive campaign, scoring 24 goals and providing 11 assists for teammates.
