Adana hosted Kasimpasa at 5 Ocak Fatih Terim as they looked to bounce back from their defeat to Galatasaray. Their Nigerian point man, Babajide, was on target twice, in what was a blowout for the hosts.

How it happened

The game started slowly, but the hosts soon started to play their way into dominance. Their spell of dominance went concurrently with a tint of profligacy, however, the opener was impending, and it was a matter of when not if.

The first goal came in the 18th minute of the game, rewarding Adana's industry. Babajide grabbed his and Adana's first, getting on the end of a delivery by Yusuf Sari before releasing a thunderous shot with his left foot into the goal.

He doubled the lead for his team only three minutes after grabbing the first, finishing off an exciting setpiece move.

When it rains, it pours, and it was soon three in the 27th minute. Sari, who assisted the first goal, registered himself on the scoresheet, finishing to the bottom left corner after he was teed up just on the edge of the box.

The second-half started calmly, with the hosts taking it slowly with three goals in the bag. The game had a metered feel until the 80th minute, when Emre Akbaba set up Cherif Ndiaye.

It became five in the 90th minute from the penalty spot. Younes Belhanda was the goalscorer.
