"He will sign a contract for one season with an option for another season, subject to passing medical tests."

The club, however confirmed that Kayondo will then be sent out on loan for a season, with an option to buy.

"Kayondo will be loaned out for one season with an option to buy at the end of the season."

The former Vipers SC star spent the latter part of the 2022/23 campaign in the Leganes' B team, along with compatriot and KCCA FC academy graduate, Ibrahim Juma.

He then debuted for the senior team last week as they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Hapoel in a preseason friendly.

The marauding fullback impressed the latter, who have later finally netted him.

Before joining Leganes B, Kayondo featured for Major League Soccer Next Pro side Real Monarchs and Czech Republic side Viskov.

That was immediately after he departed Vipers having guided them to one Uganda Premier League title and as many Uganda Cups.
