Ayub Khalifa was first appointed the head coach of the Uganda Queens Cranes in September 2021.
FUFA has reappointed Ayub Khalifa as the head coach of the Uganda Women’s Under-20 national team coach.
The federation sacked all the women's and men’s national teams apart from the Uganda Cranes in March and advertised for the job.
The process was opened officially but FUFA announced the urgent appointment due to the team’s upcoming assignments.
“The vacant position of the Uganda U-20 women’s national team has been filled with the appointment of Ayub Khalifah Kiyingi by the FUFA Executive Committee,” FUFA announced on Sunday morning.
Mubarak Kiberu returns as the team’s goalkeepers’ coach, Felix Ayobo is the fitness coach, while Mable Kabatalindwa and Prossy Nalwadda will be the team doctor and kits manager, respectively.
FUFA announce that they’re still conducting an evaluation for the head coach and assistants of the Women’s Senior Team (Crested Cranes) and the under-17.
Khalifa’s appointment takes immediate effect.
