FUFA has appointed coach Charles Lukula Ayiekoh to handle the Uganda Crested Cranes for a period of one month.
Ayiekoh takes over from Ayub Khalifa who handled the team’s 2024 Olympic qualifier against Rwanda and the 2024 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations qualifying loss to Algeria.

The side currently under the interim stewardship of coach Morley Byekwaso has flown to Bamako the capital of Mali for the first encounter on Friday.
Ayiekoh will be deputized by Eric Ndifuna and Olive Mbekeka who is bouncing back into the team.
“FUFA has appointed a technical team for Uganda Women National Senior team ‘Crested Cranes’ on a month interim basis,” FUFA spokesperson Ahmed Hussein said on Wednesday afternoon.
He confirmed: “The team will be headed by Ayiekoh Charles Lukula, assisted by Eric Ndifuna and Olive Mbekeka. The other members on the technical team are; Stephen Kigundu (Goalkeeping), Felix Ayobo (Fitness Trainer), Mable Kabatalindwa (Doctor) and Darlian Kyasiimire (Physiotherapist).”
Ayiekoh joins the team four months after parting ways with Tanzanian giants Simba Queens.

Uganda will face the West Africans between October 23rd and 31st at home and away over two legs.
