Premier League giants Manchester United have received a major boost in the transfer window as top target Rasmus Hojlund is set to snub PSG in favour of a move to Old Trafford
Manchester United’s top summer target Rasmus Hojlund is reportedly set to reject a move to French Champions Paris Saint Germain to complete his move to Old Trafford.
Manchester United and PSG battle for Danish vunderkind
Hojlund has been on the Red Devils radar since the start of the summer transfer window and is seen as the ideal candidate to lead the line for Manchester United in the 2023/24 season by those at the club.
The 20-year-old forward has been the subject of several bids from Manchester United to his current side, Atalanta, but the two clubs have yet to agree on concrete terms for a transfer for the striker.
PSG have launched seen the lack of agreement between Manchester United and Atalanta as an opportunity to launch a late attempt to sign Hojlund, seeing the Danish striker as a possible successor to Kylian Mbappe, whom Les Parisiens are desperate to sell this summer.
Hojlund insistent on Manchester United move
The French club’s attempts have, however, hit a snag, as reports from FootMercato in France suggest that although Hojlund appreciates PSG’s attempts, his heart is set on a move to Manchester United.
PSG put in a formal bid before Manchester United and have reportedly agreed a deal in principle, but all that will count for naught if Hojlund decides to sign with the Red Devils and the Manchester side is able to agree on a fee with Atalanta.
With a latest bid reported to be around €60, Manchester United hope that they will be able to tie up a deal for Hojlund before the transfer window closes.
