Arua Hill SC midfielder Gadafi Wahab has revealed that he is open to playing for the South Sudan national football team.
Wahab made the revelation while holding an interactive question-and-answer session with his fans on his Facebook page.
“No one has denied me a chance to play for Uganda Cranes, and if the opportunity comes to play for either Uganda Cranes or the South Sudan national team, I will surely embrace it,” Wahab affirmed.
Wahab enjoyed a fantastic season with Arua Hill SC last season, registering five goals in 20 appearances.

Of the 11 players named on the Team of the Season, only two were part of the team that lost 2-1 to Algeria in Cameroon on June 18th.
He was recognized among the ‘Best XI of the 2022/23’ and earned a nomination in the ‘Midfielder of the Season’ in the Pilsner Uganda Premier League awards.

The player, who was one of the best in his position last season in the second-tier, has one year left with Kaaro Karungi.
Several Ugandan players have recently switched citizenship, including Arua Hill captain Rashid Toha, KCCA, and Vipers striker Tito Okello.
Reports allege South Sudan is luring the midfielder.
