Their recent on-field battles paint a story of close encounters. Cumulatively, of the four encounters, Gaddafi has the upper hand with two wins to their name, Arua Hill secured one victory, and the remaining match concluded in a deadlock.

StarTimes Uganda Premier League action resumes following the International break with Arua Hill SC hosting Gadaffi FC at Paridi Stadium in Adjumani on Thursday afternoon.

Stumbling starts to the season by either side have raised the thrill and stakes for the game that threatens to go the full distance as both teams go in search of their first victories of the season.

Early in the season though it may be, the pressure mounts as neither Arua Hill nor Gaddafi has managed to clinch a single point from their opening three fixtures.

The back to back defeats have painted a picture of a grim early season relegation scramble.

The Leopards, having suffered defeats to Busoga United, Vipers, and BUL, languishes at the very bottom of the league table.

Their visitors for the day, Gaddafi FC, join them among the only three sides to win a game this season, a record shared with 13-time league champions KCCA FC.

The Army Boys have suffered losses against Vipers, URA, and Kitara already staining their record.

Gadaffi head coach David Mutono welcomed the chance offered through the international window for his side to recoup and re-strategize for the season ahead.

"The break has been instrumental in our progress,” Mutono told the Sports Nation.

“We’ve used this opportunity to address our mistakes and foster team cohesion, especially given the significant changes in our squad," he added.

Offensively, neither side seems poised to ignite fireworks. The stats echo their troubles: Arua Hill has found the net only once in their previous three outings, while Gaddafi have mustered a mere two goals in their last five games.
