The two are top targets for the Gunners in the summer transfer window.

Arsenal’s talks to sign both Kai Havertz and Declan Rice have been described as positive.

The Gunners remain in talks with Chelsea over Havertz and West Ham United over Rice, and negotiations have significantly progressed in the last few days.

However, there is a gap in valuation in both deals, but talks are understood to be going well by all the parties.

Initially, West Ham are said to have rejected an offer of £80 million plus add-ons this week from Arsenal.

Arsenal have also approached Chelsea over Havertz, and there is a feeling that both Rice and the German forward want to join Arsenal.

Arsenal are, however, set to face competition from Manchester United over Rice. Premier League champions Manchester City are also said to be monitoring the situation of the England international.

West Ham have established that they want £120 million for Rice and would also consider an offer that would see players join them.

In Havertz’s interest, the Gunners could face competition from German champions Bayern Munich. Reports indicate that the Chelsea forward is now the top transfer target for the Bundesliga giants.

Apart from Havertz and Rice, the Gunners are also said to be monitoring Moises Caicedo, a Chelsea target. The North London side is also linked with a move to sign Romeo Lavia from Southampton.
