Granit Xhaka is expected to leave Arsenal for Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.
Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is expected to leave the club at the end of the season despite enjoying his best season at the club.
According to the transfer rumour mill, Xhaka is headed to Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga.
It is estimated that the German club, headed by former Spanish international Xabi Alonso, is ready to fork out £13 million to get the midfielder.
The 30-year-old’s contract ends in June 2024, with Arsenal having the option to extend by another 12 months, but the two parties are not interested.
The Swiss international has enjoyed his best season, scoring seven and assisting as many in all competitions.
He has only missed Arsenal’s 3-3 draw against Southampton of the club’s 36 Premier League fixtures this season.
