Mikel Arteta and Gunner faithfuls have been hit with bad news, as one of the team’s stars appears to have suffered an injury during the international break.
Summer signing Riccardo Calafiori picked up an injury during Italy's 2-1 loss to Germany in the Nations League.
During the game, the defender slipped while trying to stop a Germany attack and he had a split which saw him land awkwardly on his knee.
However, after receiving treatment on the field, he continued and took part in the full 90 minutes.

Luciano Spalletti provides update on Calafiori
)
After the game, Italy’s head coach Spalletti provided an update about the situation.
He said: “We still don’t know if he’s injured. Ricky feels something strange in his knee but we still don’t know."
Calafiori has suffered a major injury on his knee as a teenager, and any injury scare on his knee would want to be treated with some caution. The defender has also missed a number of games for the Gunners this season due to varying injuries, which has hindered him from nailing down a starting spot despite a bright start.
Calafiori was on target during Arsenal’s 7-1 demolition of PSV in the first leg of their round of 16 UCL tie.
With a quarterfinal tie with Real Madrid coming up in early May, suffering another major injury will be a big blow to Arteta, who is already dealing with injuries to Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.
