A family in Nairobi's Huruma estate is demanding for justice after their son, an Arsenal fan, was allegedly beaten to death by Man United supporters during Sunday’s EPL clash.

A family in Nairobi's Huruma estate is reeling in anguish and demanding justice after their son met a tragic end allegedly at the hands of Manchester United supporters.

The young man, an avid Arsenal fan, reportedly lost his life following a heated altercation with fans of the rival team during Sunday’s Premier League clash that the Gunners won 1-0 at Old Trafford.

The unfortunate incident unfolded during the thrilling match that had a huge bearing on the title race.

As emotions ran high, the altercation between the deceased and the Manchester United fans escalated into violence. Witnesses claimed that the Manchester United supporters ganged up on the young man, unleashing a brutal assault that tragically resulted in his death.

Despite the matter being reported to the authorities, there have been no arrests made in connection to the incident. The grieving family is urging law enforcement to expedite their investigations and apprehend those responsible for their son's untimely demise.

This tragic incident has not only left a family shattered but has also sparked concerns over fan violence and the need for stricter measures to ensure the safety of football enthusiasts, both within stadiums and in surrounding communities.

It is the second such incident in Kenya coming after a match involving Manchester United this season.

In March, a man in Kawagware, Nairobi was left nursing injuries after he was hit on the head by a piece of sharp granite by a female fan following a confrontation during the first half of the Manchester derby in which United lost 3-1 to Manchester City.

There have also been some bizarre incidents involving United fans in the country during what has been a difficult season that seas the Red Devils eight on the table heading into the final match of the season against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend.

In April, Kenyan comedian was hospitalised following a failed attempt to consume a bowl of pepper to honour a promise he made before the Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester United which Erik ten Hag’s men lost 4-3 having come close to winning.

In September 2023, a man had to be rushed to the hospital when he tried to consume a tray of boiled eggs after Ten Hag’s men also lost 3-1 to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

He was reportedly so sure of United winning the match that he promised fellow fans that he would consume a tray of eggs if the Red Devils lost.

The Gunners triumphed but he struggled to honour his promise, leading to the unfortunate incident that also saw him hospitalised.
