Chelsea are not satisfied with their centre-back options as they are reportedly preparing to add another option for the position.
Chelsea have reportedly entered the race for Benfica centre-back Tomas Araujo and are prepared to compete with French Champions Paris Saint-Germain for his signature.
The 22-year-old Portugal U-21 international came up through the ranks at Benfica. He was a squad player last season, but the Eagles have handed him the keys this season, and he has started all three league games.

‘I am not a Jackson fan’ - Former Premier League star advises Chelsea to sign Osimhen
A former Premier League player has commented on Chelsea's current striker situation, endorsing Victor Osimhen of Napoli.
With the race to stack the most talents top European clubs are regularly engrossed in, Araujo is already attracting suitors, who are prepared to bet on his talent despite only recently becoming a starter for Benfica.
Chelsea eye Araujo
Chelsea are replete with centre-backs. They currently have the following on their books: Wesley Fofana, Levy Colwill, Benoit Badiashile, Axel Disasi, Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevor Chalobah, who they are trying to push out.
The BlueCo-led Chelsea have never been phased by overbooking in a position, and according to L’Equipe, they have their sights on Araujo.
However, they will have to compete with Paris Saint-Germain, who have initially registered interest in the former Gil Vicente defender. Chelsea could have a slight advantage as PSG have to complete the exit of at least one player in the position to bring in Araujo. Milan Skriniar, who has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, is the most likely to leave should a move for Tomas materialise.
