Barcelona forward Ansu Fati has insisted he has no plans to leave Barcelona despite rumours linking him with a move to Manchester United.
Ansu Fati has responded to suggestions he may be seeking a move away from Barcelona by pledging his loyalty to the club.
The 20-year-old attacker is widely regarded as one of the brightest prospects in European football but has struggled with injuries over the past year.
Fati became an instant hit at Barcelona from the age of 17, scoring and assisting in crucial games to earn the adulation of the Blaugrana faithful.
He was entrusted with the number 10 shirt after Lionel Messi departed Barcelona but injuries have made his progression slower than expected.
With Raphinha and Ferran Torres added to Xavi's squad in recent transfer windows, as well as the presence of the mercurial yet inconsistent Ousmane Dembele, Fati's pathway to the starting lineup has become increasingly congested.
Fati wants to stay at Barcelona
However, Fati reaffirmed his commitment to Barcelona while speaking at a charity event on Monday.
"I have a contract until 2027 and hopefully I can spend even more years here. I want to spend many years at Barça," he said.
"I am very grateful and happy to be in the club that I love and in which I grew up."
Big picture for Fati
Fati will be hoping to get more opportunities to show Xavi he deserves the starting spot on the left wing on a more consistent basis.
Due to the injuries and suspensions ahead of the club's crucial Europe League round of 16 second leg tie against Manchester United, Fati could be given a chance from the start.
