Buddo SS emerged winners of Group E to progress alongside Amus College

Amus College has been given a lifeline as they progressed to the knockout stages of the 2023 USSSA National Secondary Schools Football Boys’ championship after Fort Portal SS was found guilty of using a mercenary.

Fort Portal entered the last day of the pools sitting second in Group E with 13 points but their tally was slashed after being found to have used an ineligible player in Moses Bingi.

“The committee found it necessary to impose the following sanctions on the school as outlined:

“The Player Bingi Moses is banned indefinitely from USSSA organized tournaments; using Bingi Moses; “The points accumulated by Fort Portal Secondary School using Bingi Moses should all be nullified,” a part of the statement reads.
