Vipers SC has amicably parted ways with Ivorian striker Ahmed Desire Tety, according to Swift Sports, a day after Brazilian striker Giancarlo Rodriguez left the club.

Rodrigues spent only two months at the club, before announcing his departure ‘over personal reasons’.

Tety, who joined the Venoms in January this year, had signed a two-year contract, carrying high hopes and expectations.

However, his time at Kitende proved to be rather uneventful, as he failed to find the back of the net in any of the matches he played for the club.

Despite being part of Vipers' successful squad that clinched a double victory in the 2022/23 season, Tety struggled to make an impact on the pitch.

The Ivorian forward made only three league appearances for the team throughout the last season.

Before his brief stint with Vipers, Tety had an intriguing football journey that included stints in Kuwait, representing sides like Al-Sulaibikhat, Al-Sahel (2019/20), Al-Jahra SC (2020/21), and Al-Shabab in the 2021/22 season.

As Vipers undergo a series of player transitions, they seem to be turning their sights on former Express FC and El-Merreikh striker Erick Kenzo Kambale.

The club is reportedly in negotiations to secure the services of Kambale, who could be a significant addition to their attacking force.

There are further reports indicating that Vipers are secretly plotting to add Congolese striker Tshisungu Kankonde from rivals KCCA FC.

With these changes in their squad, Vipers SC is gearing up for the upcoming season, where they will defend their title with their journey getting underway against Gaddafi on September 17.
