Ancelotti sealed his third title of the season, ahead of taking on Manchester City, in a crunch Champions League showdown next week, to ease some of the pressure on his position.
His opening strike came right at the start, created by his friend Vinicius Junior. With it, he became Madrid’s youngest scorer (at 22 years and 117 days) in a Copa del Rey final in the 21st century.
After the Pamplona-based side equalised, Rodrygo was there for his team again, finishing smartly from a rebound after Toni Kroos’ shot.
“They have made the difference tonight. Vinicius in the first half was very unbalancing for the opposition”, as per reports from Marca.
