Wanjala, who captained Rising Stars into qualifying for the 2025 U-20 AFCON a few weeks ago, has been included in the final 24-man squad.

Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has named his 23-man squad for their crucial final two AFCON 2025 qualifier matches against Zimbabwe and Namibia.

Notably, U20 captain Amos Wanjala has earned his first call up to the senior team after impressing in the Cecafa U20 last month in Tanzania.

Harambee Stars will play both matches at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane, South Africa. The Michael Olunga-captained side will depart Nairobi on November 11 for Johannesburg, before facing Zimbabwe on November 15.

Stars then settle scores with Namibia four days later. Kenya currently sits thirds in group J with 4 points. Group leaders Cameroon are on 10 points while second-placed Zimbabwe boast of eight points.

Cameroon have already qualified for next year's showpiece in Morocco, meaning only second position in the group is up for grabs but the Stars have an outside chance.
