Ambrose Rachier has highlighted the key factors that have kept Gor Mahia stable despite financial difficulties.
Gor Mahia is one of the most successful clubs in Kenya and chairman Ambrose Rachier has explained how they manage to stay afloat amid challenges.
Gor Mahia was without a sponsor from March 2013 to 2016 when their Ksh 18. 5 million-a-year deal with Brookside Dairies ran out. They then landed a deal with SportPesa in 2016 before the company ended the sponsorship deal in 2020.
However, somehow, Ambrose Rachier managed to keep the club intact and they even won seven Kenyan Premier League titles during that time, with Tusker only winning once in 2016, breaking their winning streak but they bounced back in 2017.
