Rachier has revealed the big factor he thinks has made Gor Mahia have ‘bad blood’ with Football Kenya Federation in recent years.
Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has explained why he thinks the 20 -time league champions have tended not to see eye-to-eye with the Football Kenya Federation in recent years.
Rachier ran for FKF president against Nick Mwendwa in 2016 but was not successful in his efforts to run for president back then, and Gor Mahia have been on the end of unwanted situations instigated by the federation under Mwendwa.
There have been a couple of sanctions made against the team, such as being striped of their CAF Champions League ticket last year for failing to pay three of their former players in time and also imposing a ban on the club’s fans from attending the stadium after causing havoc at Kasarani during their loss to Murang’a Seal.

FKFPL Gor Mahia 'in the process of finalising' documentation for stadium construction - Ambrose Rachier
Rachier has revealed Gor Mahia are finalising plans for the construction of their own stadium which will help solve their financial problems long term.
Now, Rachier believes that the “bad blood” against FKF stems down to the fact he contested -albeit unsuccessfully - to Nick Mwendwa in 2016.
“First, I think what looks like bad blood came when I ran for presidency and from that time, Gor has suffered,” Rachier told Citizen TV.
“I gave up the point of any attempts. You have not seen me try to run since 2016 against his excellency the president of football in Kenya.
“My club is suffering because I ran for president of football in this country. I have been banned from attending the matches and all other things so I have decided to keep a row profile.

FOOTBALL What Gor Mahia boss Ambrose Rachier did to console Benson Omala after failed Algerian move
Rachier has revealed how he reassured Benson Omala after his proposed move to Algerian outfit JS Saoura collapsed.
“You did not see me in the 2020 elections and you are not going to see me in the 2024 elections. I would rather spare my team than go and create betrayal with those who manage football in the country.”
Rachier has refused to reveal who he will be backing for the FKF presidency this year but has made it clear he will be one of those who will certainly be casting the ballot.
“I am not throwing my weight behind anybody but I have a vote. I will be able to vote when I see who the candidates are. We don’t have any official nominations already and we are not even sure when elections are going to be held.
