Inter Miami's president has revealed how Messi, Suarez, and Busquets try to lure him to their training sessions.

David Beckham has lifted the lid on the playful banter he receives from Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, as the club's star-studded squad urges him to lace up his boots and join them on the pitch.

The Manchester United legend, who serves as co-owner and club president of the Herons, has been instrumental in attracting some of football’s biggest names to South Florida.

With a host of former Barcelona stars now calling Inter Miami home, Beckham's presence has undoubtedly added a sprinkle of Hollywood glamour to the club’s MLS aspirations.

However, while Beckham remains heavily involved behind the scenes, the 49-year-old has revealed that his influence could stretch even further – if Messi and company had their way.

Speaking to Men’s Health, Beckham admitted: “Do you know what, they’re always on at me, Leo, Luis, Jordi [Alba], Sergio. They will turn around and say, ‘Come on, come on, join in!’”

Despite the constant teasing, Beckham has resisted the urge to make a sensational return to the pitch.

The former England captain, who retired from professional football in 2013, prefers to leave training duties to head coach Javier Mascherano.

With the Herons boasting a squad packed with elite talent, Beckham seems content to oversee proceedings from the sidelines rather than risking any embarrassing moments alongside the world’s best.

Inter Miami have started their 2025 campaign in blistering fashion, remaining unbeaten through five games across MLS and Champions Cup competitions. Though Messi has missed the last two matches due to workload management, the Herons have picked up four wins, showing the squad’s strength in depth.
