However, the Uganda Premier League champions have confirmed the Uganda Cranes star has been through the scans, which revealed he won't need surgery.
New Vipers SC playmaker Allan Okello will not undergo a knee surgery as initially reported and anticipated.
Okello has endured a long-standing nagging knee injury, and reports have recently stressed how he had been advised to take surgery, which he allegedly declined to do.
However, the Uganda Premier League champions have confirmed the Uganda Cranes star has been through the scans, which revealed he won't need surgery.
"Okello had scans carried out before and show that the star boy may not undergo surgery as it was being spread around," Vipers said in a statement.

Meanwhile, netting the playmaker's signature wasn't an easy walk for the Venoms as they were forced to cough exorbitant fees and agreed to lucrative demands.
"Scans show the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and meniscus are all fine but only some wounds in the cartilage that are being treated."
Vipers have now confirmed Allan Okello will be back with the team in the initial stages of the second round of the Uganda Premier League around February 2024.

Kasule's scintillating display came off the back of being named in the MLS Next Pro League Team of the Regular Season.
"It is hoped Okello will be back in full training at the beginning of the second round," the club statement indicates.
Okello, a KCCA FC academy graduate, only recently joined the Venoms last week in what was arguably the transfer of the recently concluded window.
Vipers take on Mbarara City FC in their next league match on Tuesday at the Kakyeka Stadium, and Okello won't form a part.
