The 2023 competition originally scheduled to be played in the Asian continent, saw Argentina announced as an emergency host following the withdrawal of hosting rights from Indonesia.
Upon being announced as host country, the South American nation revealed the four cities the tournament will take place: La Plata, Mendoza, San Juan and Santiago del Estero.
When would the tournament kick off?
The 23rd edition of the FIFA U-20 World Cup, will kickoff on Saturday, May 20, and run through to Sunday, June 11, 2023.
The opening game of the tournament would be contested between Guatamala and New Zealand at the Estadio Único Madre de Ciudades in Santiago del Estero.
Where would the Flying Eagles play?
Drawn into Group D of the competition with five-time champions Brazil, 2017 bronze-medallists and debutants Dominican Republic, Nigeria's U-20 side will play the bulk of their group stage matches in the city of Mendoza.
In the city of Mendoza, boasts the 42,000-seater Estadio Malvinas Argentinas - the second-largest stadium being used for the competition.
The stadium was built for the 1978 FIFA World Cup and also hosted the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship (later renamed the FIFA U-20 World Cup).

All kickoff times for Flying Eagles matches are 3 pm (7 pm Nigerian time).
The knockout phases would be made up of the top two teams of each group and the four best third-placed teams.
