Musa, who returned from injury, netted the decisive goal in the third minute of added time, showcasing his importance to the Sai Masu Gida.
The match had been tightly contested, with Kano Pillars initially taking the lead through Rashid Alhassan's goal in the 30th minute.
However, Niger Tornadoes equalised in the second half via Mohammed Aliyu, leaving the game poised for a draw until Musa's late intervention.
How many goals for Musa?
This latest goal brings Musa's tally to six for the season since rejoining Kano Pillars on a short-term contract in October.
Despite missing a clear chance earlier in the match, where he failed to convert with just the goalkeeper to beat, Musa redeemed himself with a stunning finish that delighted home fans.
The victory moved Kano Pillars, who were without club legend Rabiu Ali, also known as Pele, to seventh place in the NPFL standings, now boasting 25 points from 17 matches.
Following this win, Kano Pillars will look to build on their momentum as they prepare for their next fixture against El-Kanemi Warriors.
What ex-NFF President said about Musa
Meanwhile, in a related development, former NFF President Amaju Pinnick has revealed the role he played in Pillars icon Musa’s involvement in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking during the recent 2024 CAF Player of the Year in Morocco, Pinnick slated that the talented forward was in danger of missing the competition in Russia before his intervention.
According to him, Musa was forced on then-manager Gernot Rohr, with the forward making the squad as Pinnick’s slot.
